Welcome!  We are a community of people interested in Buddhism and meditation.  We regularly meet to learn about the Dharma and meditate under our teacher, Upasaka Culadasa.  Our group is centered in Tucson, AZ, USA, but we have many members from all over the world who attend retreats with us and follow along online.

Events & Retreats

Dharma Treasure is currently offering Sunday Uposatha Day Observances at Cochise Stronghold led by Upasaka Culadasa, Thursday night and Friday morning activities at the Tucson Community Meditation Center (TCMC) led by Dharma Treasure Teachers, a summer meditation retreat at Cochise Stronghold led by Culadasa, and one non-residential retreat in Massachusetts in Summer of 2015 led by Culadasa.

 

Sunday Meditations in the Stronghold

  • 11:00 – 11:45 Group Sitting
  • 11:45 – 12:15 Walking Meditation
  • 12:15 – 1:00 Group Sitting
  • 1:00 Pot Luck Lunch and Personal Interviews

 

  • Thursday Meditation Class at the Tucson Community Meditation Center

    – taught by Dharma Treasure Teachers René, Nick, Blake, Upasika Mahamudita (Tesa), and occassionally Upasaka Culadasa

    TOPIC:

    Developing Tranquility, Insight and Happiness Through Meditation and Mindfulness in Daily Life

    In this class you will learn meditation techniques to unify the mind and improve your mindfulness. You will also learn a great deal about the mental patterns that cause you dissatisfaction and distress and strategies to increase mindfulness in your daily life. This leads to more ease and happiness and ultimately creates insights into the true nature of reality.

    Each class will consist of a 30 to 40 minute guided meditation, a short talk about meditation or mindfulness, and an opportunity for questions and discussion.

    Fee: $3-5 (sliding scale based on your financial situation)  – No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.

    Start your Friday off with a silent meditation. You may attend one or both of these silent sits.

    If you live in the Sierra Vista area, please visit Sierra Vista Dharma to find out about joining a small group of meditators there who meet regularly and often carpool to Dharma Treasure events and meetings in Tucson and Cochise Stronghold.
